Developing Your Sea Legs (or paws)

“When on your boat or around the docks it is important to remember that even the strongest swimming dogs can benefit from wearing a life jacket around water. These vests provide crucial buoyancy, keeping your dog’s head above water if they get tired, disoriented by currents, or overwhelmed by waves.”

“Motion or sea sickness is more common in younger dogs. The parts of the inner ear involved with balance are not fully developed. Puppies often outgrow motion sickness by the time they are about one year old. However, many adult dogs become anxious or even nauseous during travel due to a lack of conditioning.”
