Delta has implemented an embargo for Pets in Cabin (PETC) on flights originating in the Dominican Republic, effective January 24, 2025. 

Travel Originating From: 

Puerto Plata (POP) 

Punta Cana (PUJ) 

Santiago (STI)

Santo Domingo (SDQ) 

Conditions That Apply to This Embargo: 

  • Customers with PETC that originated travel in the U.S. will be allowed to complete return travel if all CDC policies and procedures are met.
  • Customers with PETC that originate travel in the Dominican Republic on/after January 24, are not permitted to travel to the U.S. 
  • Customers with PETC will be allowed under normal acceptance standards if they are on their return flight to the Dominican Republic or are on a one-way ticket to the Dominican Republic.
  • Delta will continue to accept Trained Service Animals (SVAN) in the cabin.
